topsy turvy cake

Hi friends. Feeling good to blog again after a while. I was on a trip. I have quite few cakes to upload, but i cant wait to upload this topsy turvy cake which i did last week for sweet little girl called Keerthana. So myself and my friend(keerthana's mom) were discussing and designing the cake for more than a month. Atlast i said whatever i feel like will do it. So is the outcome of the cake. Both Mom and Dad were overwhelmed with the cake. Though was tough to do this cake with in two days, i was quite excited to see the outcome myself especially with the colors. There is nothing beyond your true friends appreciation. I love and personally thank all my friends who is so encouraging. Once again thank you my friends.

The above is the chocolate cake covered in butter icing and topped with edible hand made figures.

This cake is for three children celebrated their birthday on the same day as their b'day falls on the same month. The bottom tier is for a graphics loving person, second is for a computer loving person and a third one is for a girl who loves hannah montana. Mother called me up to tell that they all had great fun and felt so happy about the cake especially the taste of the cake.

This cake is for my best friend's daughter. The theme is to match the invitation and other stuffs used for the party.

Overall i was pretty satisfied doing all the cakes as usual. Thanks everybody.

Enjoyed doing all the cakes as usual. The heart cake was a surprise gift from the hubby to wife on her b'day.

A scooby doo cake for a boy. The boy was absolutely happy with cake and especially with the edible figures.

The above cake is for a 1 year old girl. Really had fun doing this cake. I was quite happy with the little fairies turned out.

Tom and jerry cake, who wouldn't love them. Hope u all like it too.

Hi all, these are the few cakes with no repetitions. It is almost a year i have been blogging. Feeling so happy about it. Today i should not forget to write few things about my startup in caking. My First and foremost inspirer is Mrs. Mary Selvakumar who was so generous enough and Patience to teach me the baking techniques. I love the way she explores in baking and when she left this country for good she gave her own valuable recipe book to me. I would love to thank her whole heartedly.

And the day when i started my blog, i started getting comments from my fellow bloggers who is the great support for me to come up with more creations. Thank you so much everybody.

Here comes one of my other wedding cake which i have been doing it for past two weeks. Couples are edible hand made figures again. The theme is green and gold. I was totally happy with the outcome of the cake. Thanks.

Did this cake for a 21 year old guy who is doing his medicine as a surprise cake from his family. It is a kind of naughty cake. Number 21 is made out of sugar paste and was painted with edible silver color. Did my best to give the good result, as a beginner it took me long time to do the figures, but still dint have enough time to do trial, so was bit nervous doing it(Figures are inspired by mama min). I had spent the whole day doing it with out break. Unfortunately couldn't take a good picture of the cake. But was quite happy with the outcome. Hope you all like it too.

Topsy Turvy under sea cake

This is my first Topsy Turvy cake tried out for my daughter's birthday. Wanted to try this kind of cake for a long time, but didn't get a right opportunity to do it. Since i was busy with other cakes , thought i am not going to make it. But my daughter was not ready to change her mind since we had planned to make this topsy turvy design for long time. Did the whole cake with other edible decorations in just 4 hours apart from the baking time. My little one was quite happy with it,Hope you all like it as well.

Soccer ball cake was quite interesting to do , while seeing, it seems quite easy to do it, but had bit problem with the patterns. I made patterns of hexagons and pentagons and tried this for first time. Was quite happy with it.

This cake i did for my daughter's class party as today is the last day of the school for term 1. Hi every body, This cake i made yesterday. Unfortunately i did not take a good picture of the cake. It is a two layered cake, bottom layer is like wooden box and top one imitates a wine bottle. I made few cakes in last two weeks and very sad to say that all of them were not photographed properly due to the wrong adjustment in the camera. And am not that good in photography too. I will improve it in due course. Ok friends bye for now.

Hi everybody, The gift cake is for a 4 year old sweet little girl who is residing in johenesberg. The cake went all the way from Botswana to Joberg. Had great fun working on this cake. Actually we were supposed to attend her b'day party, but due to delay in getting visa we couldn't make it.
I had to send the cake with one of my other friend. I decided to do the cake as a gift so that was the theme of the cake. My friend was extremely happy with the cake.
The Bratz cake also equally i enjoyed doing it, especially drawing the bratz with all edible paints.
The small girl was very happy to see the cake which satisfied me a lot.

Hi every body, thanks for all your lovely comments which keeps me healthy in my work. Last week i had to do two cakes for boys with different themes. one is spiderman and the other one is madagascar. I really enjoyed working on them, especially madagascar one , i really had fun doing those characters. The madagascar cake is for a boy who is turning one today. Hi all, once again with cup cakes. All of a sudden we decided to have a Xmas party tomorrow in our company since everybody will be off by next week. I started baking them today morning and finished frosting. Thats all i wanted to, cause no time to do other decorations, since i have to do other arrangements for the party. But then it looked plain and quickly made fondant leaves and topped it. Not really satisfied with the work, but happy that i finished all 50 cup cakes in 4 hours. Hope You all would like it too. This cake i made for diwali party in our complex. I promised to make a cake but i was very busy with my other works and was going to mediation class every evening 5.30p.m -10.p.m. Diwali evening was my second day meditation class and i should finish the cake get ready for the class. My plan was to make a flower pot cake, but at last it turned out as witch hat as my daughter said and also named it as a haloween cake. I was really tensed and tried to stick dots on it at the last moment. As you can see the mess on the cake very clearly.

Hi every body, |This is a chocolate cake with ganache filling (sofa,sidetables and center tables) and sugar models, Except candle, everything is edible. It took me a day to complete this design. This cake is for a father from his beloved daughter as a surprise. She is one of my neighbour who was very anxious to check the cake every now and then, but i dare not allowed her while i am working on the cake, well not only her anybody else too, because they might get scared by seeing my work place filled with sugar, fondant pieces, scissors(tools) etc etc with their cake in the middle. At last when she saw the cake after completion she was really happy and overjoyed.
I really enjoyed while doing the sofa. I am yet to buy proper tools for decorating. I really could not find any such shops in my place. Just waiting to visit South Africa for real shopping. see you all soon with other post.

I tried these sugar flowers for the first time. I gave it as a gift along with the white doll cake to one of my best friends daughter on her birthday. She was very surprised and happy to see the cake and the sugar flowers which boosted me up to continue my creativity towards sugar craft.

These two cakes i made on the same day, The white fairy cake was for my one of the best friends daughter. I just took the cake as a surprise for her, she was very happy to see the cake. While i was doing this cake a couple came to request a cake for their daughter, they wanted the same cake with different color combination, so did the other one with better results than the previous one. This cake is for a 2 years old boy who is very much fond of animals especially dogs. I tried a kind of dog house and two gumpaste(edible) dogs and a boy. I really enjoyed and had fun doing this cake though it took around 7-8 hours to make the design. This is one of the cake i like very much.
